Mané Lara struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Cayetano Rito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville United - FSCMZ. Dieguinho Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Rito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Cardozo in the 7th minute. The corner led Joinville United - FSCMZ's Prospero Perfecto to fire away a dangerous shot which Cayetano Rito despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Denílson Sena in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Joinville United - FSCMZ's Didi Cardozo. Mané Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cayetano Rito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mané Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Lara came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Mané Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joinville United - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Paulopolis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Prospero Perfecto took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Evgeniy Bakov to score against Cayetano Rito in Paulopolis's goal. 1-0 after 27 minutes. Borys Gruchacz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieguinho Amaral in the 30th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mané Lara sped through Paulopolis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cayetano Rito. After 36 minutes of play, Paulopolis's Dieguinho Amaral made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Borys Gruchacz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Rito came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville United - FSCMZ's Didi Cardozo. But to his dismay, Didi Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mané Lara to make the kick off. Cayetano Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the game, Denílson Sena threw the ball into play from the sideline. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Fernando Vale quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mané Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Rito having to make a save. After some careless play in the Paulopolis defense, Mané Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Rito. The Paulopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Rito should have stopped the shot. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Mané Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joinville United - FSCMZ's Maurício Donatello was substituted for Mané Lara. After 68 minutes Paulopolis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Prospero Perfecto who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Alesandro Coutinho managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Donatello in the 72nd minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício Donatello in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cayetano Rito saved Paulopolis from getting behind. After having played for 79 minutes, Maurício Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville United - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Donatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo Sabóia came free, but Borys Gruchacz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurício Donatello hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Donatello in the 90th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alesandro Coutinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Rito was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Donatello in the 94th minute of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Maurício Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Joinville United - FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
