The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Janusze Futbolu's Vivaldo Trancoso quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enrique Falcão, made in the 6th minute of the game. A collision led to Paulopolis getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Enrique Falcão hit a great ball. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Caniglia in the 7th minute of play. Claudio Caniglia scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Rito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 13th minute of play. Claudio Caniglia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Falcão made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ruy Carneiro immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Caniglia in the 24th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Claudio Caniglia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cayetano Rito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Janusze Futbolu's Danny Carey managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Enrique Falcão in the 27 minute of the game. 32 minutes into the game, Janusze Futbolu's Claudio Caniglia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cayetano Rito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Cayetano Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Caniglia, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Cayetano Rito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Caniglia went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dieguinho Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Caniglia. Cayetano Rito made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Claudio Caniglia sent off a good shot on target. Janusze Futbolu's Guillermo Erosa was substituted for Raşit Alpaslan. Janusze Futbolu's Eugeniusz Osowski was substituted for Kapiton Bomba. Claudio Caniglia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Rito having to make a save. Janusze Futbolu's attentive Vivaldo Trancoso managed to snatch the ball when Enrique Falcão made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. If Claudio Caniglia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Caniglia in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cayetano Rito saved Paulopolis from getting behind. Claudio Caniglia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Rito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Cayetano Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Caniglia, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Claudio Caniglia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cayetano Rito was out of position in the 98 minute of play, and Claudio Caniglia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudio Caniglia really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. The Janusze Futbolu players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
