Francisco Infante was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. José Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Anselmo Domingos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daugirdas Burokas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. The Lima Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Infante should have stopped the shot. After 38 played minutes Lima Team got a freekick which was hit by José Cunha. After a defensive mix-up in Lima Team's zone, Jarūnas Kuliešius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Infante came out of the goal and Jarūnas Kuliešius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lima Team's Francisco Infante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goal looked a bit too open when Jarūnas Kuliešius came free, but Francisco Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Regimantas Šileikis charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Regimantas Šileikis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Alytus United getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. FC Alytus United's Daugirdas Burokas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save FC Alytus United from getting a goal against them.

When FC Alytus United's Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
