Ruud van Nistelrooij's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constantin Maali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 43rd minute of play forced ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's goalkeeper Constantin Maali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ruud van Nistelrooij's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantin Maali was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Constantin Maali successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 74 minutes Underdogs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Álvaro Recoba who took care of the corner kick. Brak Gola came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's Jan-Erik Åström. But to his dismay, Jan-Erik Åström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 78 minutes into the match, ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's goalkeeper Constantin Maali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Budzyn. With his leg Constantin Maali managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Underdogs's Andrzej Budzyn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th minute, Apostolis Arvanitoyannis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Constantin Maali. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 89th minute Apostolis Arvanitoyannis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Maali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
