In the 6th minute Şota Arveladze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Cucao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta was slow to take the kick. During this time Olympique Gdynia's players had a chance to rest. 15 minutes into the match, Şota Arveladze notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Filipe Meireles. Filipe Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paolo Cucao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tanek Ostrowski having to make a save. Filipe Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şota Arveladze in the 23rd minute of play. Filipe Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Domeracki in the 28th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Tanek Ostrowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 31 minutes into the match, Olympique Gdynia's goalkeeper Tanek Ostrowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vincent Van Gogh. In the 34th minute Czeslaw Domeracki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Filipe Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şota Arveladze in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Tirso Isasaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's Panda Komando in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Şota Arveladze received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filipe Meireles came out and tried to block the shot, but Şota Arveladze slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Olympique Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Panda Komando came free, but Tanek Ostrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Meireles made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Czeslaw Domeracki sent off a good shot on target. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Van Gogh in the 82nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Filipe Meireles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 85 minutes into the match, KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Filipe Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Czeslaw Domeracki. Czeslaw Domeracki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Filipe Meireles made a huge save. Filipe Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şota Arveladze in the 88th minute of play. In the 88th minute Şota Arveladze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tirso Isasaga in the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ's zone, Tirso Isasaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Meireles came out of the goal and Tirso Isasaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olympique Gdynia played a much better game than KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ and deserved their victory. The KOLEJORZ POZNAŃ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
