ATLETICO MENDOZA's Václav Filipi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladas Apukas in the 30th minute of play. Václav Filipi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin 雷景, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Maximino Ruy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Levente Dárdai having to interfere. Václav Filipi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladas Apukas in the 39th minute of the match. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Maximino Ruy got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Jose Chale made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute Maximino Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levente Dárdai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Václav Filipi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladas Apukas in the 51st minute. With an all-out effort, 贵州省施秉县醒狮队's Václav Filipi threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edwin 雷景, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Levente Dárdai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximino Ruy's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Levente Dárdai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Muno in the 82nd minute of play. Václav Filipi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin 雷景 in the 84th minute of play. Levente Dárdai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Gentza in the 87th minute of play. Justo Muno scored 1-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Levente Dárdai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
