With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Videl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tião Castros short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Amancio Videl to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 15 minutes into the match, Torrey Matthews notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Berni y Benja FC's Amancio Videl. Amancio Videl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Tião Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the game, Berni y Benja FC's Edgardo Arce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felipe Ekaitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Edgardo Arce put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Felipe Ekaitz. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Edgardo Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berni y Benja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Ekaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The wind increased when Kärim Benzine made the kick off in the second half. Zé Roberto Moreno charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Kärim Benzine had several of the Club Atlético Talleres's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Club Atlético Talleres's Felipe Ekaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kärim Benzine in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Boni got free with Felipe Ekaitz in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amancio Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Felipe Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kärim Benzine in the 94th minute of play. When Kärim Benzine came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Berni y Benja FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kärim Benzine couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Berni y Benja FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
