Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamil Babacan, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Svante Åberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin van der Sar was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. G . They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kamil Babacan made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kamil Babacan. If Koray Suer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamil Babacan in the 57th minute of play forced União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Jerónimo Furtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. But to his dismay, Jerónimo Furtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. G . Miromir Kociniewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Gaxan, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Santana in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miromir Kociniewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
