The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Domingo Barcena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Barcena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marciano Sesuldo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by U. de Tarapacá's Domingo Barcena. But to his dismay, Domingo Barcena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Devia in the 17th minute of play forced Firmat Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Marciano Sesuldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Barcena might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marciano Sesuldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingo Barcena ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Firmat Foot Ball Club's Marciano Sesuldo got control of the ball when Domingo Barcena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Nesto in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Nesto came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Balboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuncho Agüero in the 31st minute of the match. Ariel Balboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kuncho Agüero in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Zheng Ning Peng got a free kick in the 47th minute. Firmat Foot Ball Club's Necaettin İlseven got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulino Nesto made a kick off. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Ariel Balboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrian Conrao hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. U. de Tarapacá made a substitution. Orfilio Orbañanos replaced Domingo Barcena. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Firmat Foot Ball Club! 74 minutes into the game, Orfilio Orbañanos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Marciano Sesuldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Firmat Foot Ball Club made a substitution. Haroldo Maju replaced Paulino Nesto. Orfilio Orbañanos might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marciano Sesuldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orfilio Orbañanos ran back to his position shaking his head. 91 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Ariel Balboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Maju. Tomas Ramond charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Ramond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Firmat Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tomas Ramond hit a great ball. Orfilio Orbañanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Sesuldo having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Firmat Foot Ball Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U. de Tarapacá.
