After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Orfilio Orbañanos managed to get in a good position for a shot. U. de Tarapacá's supporters rose to their feet, but Orfilio Orbañanos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leoiar Liebana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U. de Tarapacá's Ariel Balboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Motlaq Al Zamel in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orfilio Orbañanos in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leoiar Liebana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orfilio Orbañanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leoiar Liebana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orfilio Orbañanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sarhan Al Mulaifi kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Motlaq Al Zamel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Ariel Balboa made a huge save. Muharrem Duman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leoiar Liebana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orfilio Orbañanos in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Orfilio Orbañanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leoiar Liebana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Al Hilal Saudi's Leoiar Liebana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orfilio Orbañanos in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Orfilio Orbañanos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leoiar Liebana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luai Ghadhanfer got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Derar Al Saffar. After a defensive mix-up in Al Hilal Saudi's zone, Orfilio Orbañanos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leoiar Liebana came out of the goal and Orfilio Orbañanos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half U. de Tarapacá were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orfilio Orbañanos to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Al Hilal Saudi defense, Domingo Barcena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leoiar Liebana. The Al Hilal Saudi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leoiar Liebana should have stopped the shot. Domingo Barcena might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leoiar Liebana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingo Barcena ran back to his position shaking his head. Leoiar Liebana made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Domingo Barcena sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Domingo Barcena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leoiar Liebana was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Al Hilal Saudi's Leoiar Liebana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Al Hilal Saudi from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute, Domingo Barcena made a precise shot to the right of Leoiar Liebana. Al Hilal Saudi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Al Hilal Saudi made a substitution. Eesa Al Dekhel replaced Luai Al Motaire. Al Hilal Saudi's Leoiar Liebana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Barcena in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Motlaq Al Zamel came free, but Ariel Balboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Domingo Barcena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leoiar Liebana was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The supporters of U. de Tarapacá booed when Al Hilal Saudi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mnawer Al Dekhel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over U. de Tarapacá could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Al Hilal Saudi throughout the match.
