The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Elvijs Presley came free, but Greid Tinsmith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 12 minutes, Inge Braa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doffes Damer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inge Braa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner ended in Evert Taube almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith did a great save. If Roby Baggio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inge Braa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnny Banks read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Greid Tinsmith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roby Baggio, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Greid Tinsmith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvijs Presley in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inge Braa in the 28th minute of play forced Malmö White Knights's goalkeeper Johnny Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Elvijs Presley came free, but Greid Tinsmith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Braa in the 34th minute of the match. Doffes Damer were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Malmö White Knights's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pier Kopacz took the corner. 46 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Banks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roby Baggio to strike the kick off in the second half. When Roby Baggio came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Malmö White Knights fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roby Baggio couldn't finish the play. If Elvijs Presley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Inge Braa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Johnny Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Braa in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Inge Braa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Banks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Banks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Inge Braa scored 1-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnny Banks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Andréas Stigsson replaced Greg Barrera. Doffes Damer's Ronaldo Cristi was substituted for Inge Braa. Johnny Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Cristi in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Malmö White Knights booed when Doffes Damer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Cristi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Cristi in the 86th minute of the match. Greid Tinsmith came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Malmö White Knights's Roby Baggio. But to his dismay, Roby Baggio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Johnny Banks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Cristi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Holm made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Elvijs Presley. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
