The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when Protegéerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ossi Eloranta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Skarkman in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignatius Casasola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the game, Petter Skarkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ignatius Casasola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Skarkman in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignatius Casasola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Fernando Arango came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Protegéerna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Arango couldn't finish the play. Ignatius Casasola came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman. But to his dismay, Petter Skarkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignatius Casasola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laércio Rebocho kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Söderlund to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Skarkman in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignatius Casasola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Petter Skarkman notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola. Ignatius Casasola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Garanhão do SUL's Bolo Skjold threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from António Gama, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ignatius Casasola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Lundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ignatius Casasola came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman. But to his dismay, Petter Skarkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When Garanhão do SUL's António Gama in 47 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bolo Skjold guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The Garanhão do SUL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Protegéerna were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Costa was the one to do the kick off. When Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garanhão do SUL's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petter Skarkman in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignatius Casasola saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola got control of the ball when Petter Skarkman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Protegéerna's attentive Ossi Eloranta managed to snatch the ball when Laércio Rebocho made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. The corner led Protegéerna's Michael Näver to fire away a dangerous shot which Ignatius Casasola despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Protegéerna made a substitution. Jonny Ånger replaced Arman Lingren. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Albano Leizarraga replaced Edgar Costa. Garanhão do SUL's Angel Edorta was substituted for Salvador Lousada. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Amado Vigário replaced António Gama. Protegéerna made a substitution. Guido Python replaced Jakob Lundin. Protegéerna's Bo Låsberg was substituted for Fernando Arango. 64 minutes into the game, Albano Leizarraga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Protegéerna's Jonny Ånger quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Petter Skarkman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignatius Casasola. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignatius Casasola should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute Petter Skarkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Petter Skarkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Protegéerna's Bolo Skjold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Leizarraga in the 75th minute of play. Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laércio Rebocho made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Laércio Rebocho however managed to control. 85 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Ignatius Casasola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Petter Skarkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petter Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignatius Casasola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Ignatius Casasola came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman. But to his dismay, Petter Skarkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Bolo Skjold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Leizarraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Protegéerna supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Protegéerna would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
