Igor Cavalera really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Vergílio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cătălin Trică was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrick Matorin hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică got control of the ball when Igor Cavalera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alysson Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Zamfirescu in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Cătălin Trică had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerônimo Vergílio. Alysson Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Anton in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Nistor Anton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alysson Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Emanuel Șerbulea put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Alysson Rezende. The supporters of Ogro F.C. booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Arghiroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cătălin Trică made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Igor Cavalera sent off a good shot on target. The throw-in from Ferdinand Arghiroiu in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ogro F.C.'s Mai Yi Xu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Cavalera got free with Cătălin Trică in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Cavalera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Igor Cavalera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Trică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Purcaresti CSS's Iustin Radovan suffered a sore thigh after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Lang during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Purcaresti CSS made a substitution. Valer Șişman replaced Iustin Radovan. Ferdinand Arghiroiu missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 61 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alysson Rezende right hand side. Cătălin Trică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Cavalera, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Cătălin Trică didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Cavalera went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Ogro F.C.'s Mike Mangini was substituted for Alex Van Halen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Minnemann in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cătălin Trică prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cătălin Trică didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Zimmermann went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Purcaresti CSS getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Andrei Dumitrache hit a great ball. Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Zimmermann in the 93rd minute of play. The Ogro F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Ogro F.C.'s Marco Minnemann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Purcaresti CSS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
