In the 3rd minute Waclaw Hludzenski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 minutes Academica Pulheim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ignacy Frodyma who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ignacy Frodyma got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paul Heyckendorf quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sawino SA's Borys Lanczak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Sawino SA from getting a goal against them. Alex Mansilha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Borys Lanczak made a huge save. Paul Heyckendorf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Min Eta in the 13th minute of the match. Paul Heyckendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heintje Alemasov in the 23rd minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Sawino SA's Waclaw Hludzenski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Heyckendorf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Borys Lanczak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Mansilha's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Roman Biehlert dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Borys Lanczak, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Alex Mansilha put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Borys Lanczak. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Mansilha to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heintje Alemasov in the 52nd minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf got control of the ball when Heintje Alemasov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Min Eta. Janusz Niedzwiecki hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Alex Mansilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sawino SA's Borys Lanczak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sawino SA's Borys Lanczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Mansilha in the 67th minute of play. In the 75th minute Alex Mansilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Lanczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Alex Mansilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sawino SA's Borys Lanczak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sawino SA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ignacy Frodyma in the 96th minute. The corner ended in Nuno Tasso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf did a great save. Sawino SA were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
