Herbert Hilhorst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Buckner, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Victoriano Bernaldo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Christijan Schreuder sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leendert Dekker to maneuver through the defense. Christijan Schreuders short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Victoriano Bernaldo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo got control of the ball when Ruud Geels tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Ruud Geels scored to the left of an out of position Victoriano Bernaldo, making the score, 1-1. In the 41st minute, Leopoldo Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herbert Hilhorst was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud Geels in the 44th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dep Colonia Avellaneda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! 2-2 came through a penalty shot after 48 played minutes, when Verwachting:s Harm de Freitas calmly waited for Dep Colonia Avellaneda:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darryl Buckner was the one to do the kick off. Christijan Schreuder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Libertad in the 56th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Dep Colonia Avellaneda were awarded a corner. Claudio Cerritos went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 58th minute, Claudio Cerritos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan Hesseling in the 59th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Dep Colonia Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Lesardo. 62 minutes into the match, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Harm de Freitas came free, but Victoriano Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darryl Buckner in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Hilhorst saved Verwachting from getting behind. After 64 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Adriaan Kuypers. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christijan Schreuder in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Rosa came free, but Herbert Hilhorst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, Christijan Schreuder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verwachting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christijan Schreuder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud Geels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruud Geels took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victoriano Bernaldo. Victoriano Bernaldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 87 minutes into the match, Claudio Cerritos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herbert Hilhorst, 3-3. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Twan Hesseling, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Rosa. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claudio Cerritos in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Schreuder in the 97th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
