Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Joacim First was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eustacio Loiola. If Kang Ning Yu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pinhote FC's Joacim First played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Bilintx in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Fanström to maneuver through the defense. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Siöberg in the 13th minute of play. When Pinhote FC's Holger Siöberg in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting de Gijón's goalie prevented a goal. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guo Ming in the 17th minute of play. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute Sílvio Luís Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Guo Ming left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinhote FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Carlo Crema hit a great ball. If Diego Maradona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matias Bilintxs short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Joacim First to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 42nd minute of the match Sporting de Gijón got a corner. Pinhote FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saturnino Curcio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Sporting de Gijón's Saturnino Curcio to fire away a dangerous shot which Joacim First despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Diego Maradonas short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Joacim First to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After the first half Pinhote FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guo Ming was the one to do the kick off. Matias Bilintx spun around in front of the goal 51 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pinhote FC's goal. 54 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Ceresso came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joacim First stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Bilintx's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Niceto Dominix might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joacim First. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Dominix ran back to his position shaking his head. Sporting de Gijón's Mario Zanabria was substituted for Saturnino Curcio. Sporting de Gijón's Venancio Emesto was substituted for Alejandro Rufo. In the 77th minute, Rune Fanström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rune Fanström hit a great ball. Venancio Emesto took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joacim First. Joacim First dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when Pinhote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Buckinx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guo Ming, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Pinhote FC got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Ceresso. In the 92ndth minute of the game Venancio Emesto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinhote FC's Joacim First was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Venancio Emesto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joacim First was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Joacim First came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Diego Maradona. But to his dismay, Diego Maradona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Sporting de Gijón's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
