Stamen Tekeliev started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Stamen Tekeliev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tolek Kiszkiel. Olimpia HSB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stamen Tekeliev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Olimpia HSB's attentive Wilfredo Vellito managed to snatch the ball when Vladimiro Marquez made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. After 14 minutes of play, Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Roberto Teixeira was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Wilfredo Vellito in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Playa Malvín's Vladimiro Marquez. If Fabian Czeszejko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stamen Tekeliev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tolek Kiszkiel having to make a save. In the 28th minute Stamen Tekeliev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Kiszkiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tolek Kiszkiel made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Stamen Tekeliev sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute, Sandu Mândrilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Marquez. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Czeszejko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Fabian Czeszejko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Playa Malvín defense, Fabian Czeszejko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Roberto Teixeira. The Playa Malvín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Roberto Teixeira should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Stamen Tekeliev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia was substituted for Stamen Tekeliev. Sixto Yanguas made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fabian Czeszejko. A collision led to Olimpia HSB getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sixto Yanguas hit a great ball. Olimpia HSB's Zbyszko Skorny was substituted for Artur Walczak. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Tomáš Petrásek replaced Sixto Yanguas. In the 74th minute Olimpia HSB were awarded a corner. Fernando Morientes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Olimpia HSB's Fernando Morientes to fire away a dangerous shot which Zé Roberto Teixeira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tolek Kiszkiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinto Ampudia, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Morientes in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute Quinto Ampudia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Kiszkiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacek Pietrowiak might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacek Pietrowiak ran back to his position shaking his head. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Playa Malvín from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Playa Malvín getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Stelian Murgu hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Olimpia HSB eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
