The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnulfo Kinsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witalis Brysz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnulfo Kinsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeng Xu Yuan in the 9th minute of play. José Maria Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Ofelio in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Alberto Kempes came free, but José Maria Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Laurita FC's Mario Alberto Kempes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Maria Goiano. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Poetass FC's Witalis Brysz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Maria Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Ofelio in the 32nd minute of play. A hard shot by Narciso Vargas from long distance, 46 minutes into the match, got José Maria Goiano's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Poetass FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jon-Egil Schjelderup in the 49th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jon-Egil Schjelderup got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnulfo Kinsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Alberto Kempes to strike the kick off in the second half. When Mario Alberto Kempes came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Laurita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Alberto Kempes couldn't finish the play. Jon-Egil Schjelderup could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Arnulfo Kinsen made a huge save. Laurita FC made a substitution. The supporters of Laurita FC booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witalis Brysz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Poetass FC's Celsinho Montenegro was substituted for Witold Bronicki. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Witalis Brysz hit a great ball. Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Šair Lupin in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Šair Lupin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laurita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Šair Lupin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Maria Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando de Lara. In the 86th minute, Luiz Fernando de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Šair Lupin succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. After 92 minutes of play, Laurita FC's Šair Lupin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Maria Goiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Bernardino Ofelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Laurita FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
