In the 42nd minute, Nilmar Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Rubio Mor. Ornopata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ornopata's Rubio Mor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Marinho in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Chivos de Punto Fijo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
