The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garcia Morros in the 3rd minute of play. Judas Verón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Andres Ekhi made a huge save. Andres Ekhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Judas Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Ramalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Raggio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Judas Verón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andres Ekhi was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 26th minute Judas Verón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Ramalho to make the kick off. Bernardo Raggio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Hori in the 79th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Ricart Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Judas Verón came free, but Andres Ekhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anísio Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca was substituted for Judas Verón. Garcia Morros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andres Ekhi. Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Timo Haydon with Garcia Morros as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Anísio Fantini hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 96thth minute of the game Iulian Ilinca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 98th minute of the match Belgrano de Pibasog got a corner. Ricart Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Garcia Morros ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Garcia Morros got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andres Ekhi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. There was no doubt that Belgrano de Pibasog were the better team. Belgrano de Pibasog's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
