The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Görkem Büyükada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thommy Pelgrims in the 4th minute of the match. After 6 minutes, Mickael Theunis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brugge United and the Real Trabzon Sk players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mickael Theunis kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Görkem Büyükada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mickael Theunis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Candal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Onur Sarıaslan went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thommy Pelgrims in the 16th minute of play forced Real Trabzon Sk's goalkeeper Görkem Büyükada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Real Trabzon Sk's goal looked a bit too open when Constant Vanden Broucke came free, but Görkem Büyükada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Candal was a little too slow when Eddie Murphy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, Real Trabzon Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 吕战永 to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Zac Bal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thommy Pelgrims recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Görkem Büyükada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickael Theunis, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Mickael Theunis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. 40 minutes into the match, Real Trabzon Sk's goal looked a bit too open when Constant Vanden Broucke came free, but Görkem Büyükada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Trabzon Sk's Görkem Büyükada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thommy Pelgrims in the 42nd minute of play. Görkem Büyükada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thommy Pelgrims in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thommy Pelgrims in the 45th minute of play forced Real Trabzon Sk's goalkeeper Görkem Büyükada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Trabzon Sk's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Binjamin Denturck was slow to take the kick. During this time Brugge United's players had a chance to rest. Binjamin Denturck made a great header on Brugge United's corner, it was just that Real Trabzon Sk's Görkem Büyükada managed to reach the ball for a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zekeriya Özbekkan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aldo Candal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saffet Akdağ, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Aldo Candal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saffet Akdağ in the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Murphy came free, but Aldo Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Thommy Pelgrims had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Zekeriya Özbekkan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Aldo Candal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Zekeriya Özbekkan came free, but Aldo Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Real Trabzon Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zekeriya Özbekkan to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Real Trabzon Sk's goal looked a bit too open when Zac Bal came free, but Görkem Büyükada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Zekeriya Özbekkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Candal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Görkem Büyükada came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Zac Bal. But to his dismay, Zac Bal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Brugge United's Aldo Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saffet Akdağ in the 84th minute of play. When Real Trabzon Sk's Saffet Akdağ in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brugge United's goalie prevented a goal. Eddie Murphy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Candal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thommy Pelgrims in the 91st minute of play forced Real Trabzon Sk's goalkeeper Görkem Büyükada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Trabzon Sk's Adnan Kayıboylu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Real Trabzon Sk's goalkeeper Görkem Büyükada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constant Vanden Broucke. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brugge United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Trabzon Sk.
