Marlin FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ambrosio Quilino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oluf Ankerbøl in the 9th minute of play. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Egil Sølve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Holmkjar Hotspurs from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Tonni Dong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ambrosio Quilino was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Delmar Pirro's late challenge caught a Holmkjar Hotspurs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ambrosio Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalle Bjarkmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Marlin FC's Delmar Pirro got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After having played for 53 minutes, Vagner Vennitze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holmkjar Hotspurs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vagner Vennitze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Holmkjar Hotspurs booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Orlandus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Marlin FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kalle Bjarkmann fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ignacio Derwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Anier Eufrasio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Holmkjar Hotspurs's Loui Bargmann got a free kick in the 64th minute. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Pablo Heitmann was substituted for Tim Sundbæk. Ambrosio Quilino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kalle Bjarkmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 80 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Holmkjar Hotspurs's zone, Pedro Hibai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Sølve came out of the goal and Pedro Hibai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Domingo Jon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marlin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holmkjar Hotspurs the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Jon to maneuver through the defense.
