Monte Lobato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Pereyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Monte Hermoso Beach's Jonatan Enekoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Urbano in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goalkeeper Monte Lobato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Pereyra. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Waldir Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tasso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Enekoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Urbano ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregorio Bastian to make the kick off. Waldir Urbano's late challenge caught a Monte Hermoso Beach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Tasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Urbano to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Tasso FC's Chu Tasso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonatan Enekoitz. Jonatan Enekoitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1.
