After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Hernani Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Pereyra got free with Folke Österlund in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Varela in the 42nd minute of play forced Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Jonatan Enekoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Enekoitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Varela went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Nicolas Pereyra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Folke Österlund made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gregorio Bastian made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Monte Hermoso Beach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Frantzes in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Bastian came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Nicolas Pereyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Nicolas Pereyra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catugi FC's Folke Österlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Catugi FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Monte Hermoso Beach's much stronger midfield.
