Froila Espin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Chano in the 11th minute of play. When Adrian Pereyra fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sacronas Futbol Club's protests and gave Adrian Pereyra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Adrian Pereyra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Adrian Pereyra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Iribarren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edelmiro Diz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. The supporters of Sacronas Futbol Club booed when Golden Dragón F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eron Sanez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Chorche Torrescassana from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Jorge Iribarren's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sacronas Futbol Club's goalie and right to Eron Sanez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sacronas Futbol Club's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Pereta was the one to do the kick off. Froila Espin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Pena in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute Anier Chano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froila Espin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Iribarren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pereta, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sacronas Futbol Club's zone, Eron Sanez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Iribarren came out of the goal and Eron Sanez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Pereta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Iribarren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Dragón F.C's zone, Anier Chano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froila Espin came out of the goal and Anier Chano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Pereta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Golden Dragón F.C's Chorche Torrescassana got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute Joaquim Pereta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iribarren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froila Espin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
