After a rather tough play, Q. T. I.'s Lázaro Haitz got a free kick in the 11th minute. Válter Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Macerio in the 16th minute of play. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's attentive Yuan Bing Peng managed to snatch the ball when Domingos Giraldo made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. A collision led to Jacuitiba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Chi-Chi Kent hit a great ball. When German Veto came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Q. T. I. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Veto couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, one of Jacuitiba - FSCMZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jacuitiba - FSCMZ. Válter Vaz came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Q. T. I.'s Pablo Perutxo. But to his dismay, Pablo Perutxo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Delmiro Macerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Válter Vaz made a huge save. In the 37th minute Hugo Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Txatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Jacuitiba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Aílton de Brito hit a great ball. Válter Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laureano Mercurio in the 44th minute. Q. T. I.'s Nestor Chap got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nestor Chap made a kick off. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Válter Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Mercurio in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Q. T. I.'s Ermegildo Sotil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válter Vaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Q. T. I.'s German Veto got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Q. T. I. from getting a goal against them. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roberto Costa in the 69th minute. The corner ended in Roberto Costa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Q. T. I.'s Paulo Txatxu did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ermegildo Sotil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Q. T. I.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Sotil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Txatxu having to interfere. Lázaro Haitz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Q. T. I.'s Rolando Su was substituted for Lázaro Haitz. Válter Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Sotil in the 85th minute of the match. Paulo Txatxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Eduardo de Souza in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Chap in the 91st minute of play forced Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Válter Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jacuitiba - FSCMZ! Válter Vaz had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Menendo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Q. T. I. had played much better football throughout.
