Marcu Voitiş's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustín Orion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Maravilla's Agustín Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Voitiş in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Paulo Arnau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Spârlea to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes of play, MIT's Marcu Voitiş made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agustín Orion was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ovidio Birila was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, one of Maravilla:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Agustín Orion had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Sabin Eniceicu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 34th minute, Marcu Voitiş left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MIT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcu Voitiş in the 40th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Agustín Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Pătrășconiu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Emil Glodeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIT's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Glodeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustín Orion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustín Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcu Voitiş, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Glodeanu got free with Agustín Orion in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustín Orion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcu Voitiş went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Marcu Voitiş might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustín Orion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcu Voitiş ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustín Orion made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Marcu Voitiş sent off a good shot on target. Nemesio Damario kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Agustín Orion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcu Voitiş in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Marcu Voitiş managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIT's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcu Voitiş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustín Orion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MIT's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebiu Siniştean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustín Orion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MIT's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
