The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, PGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Sandaili to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Diagur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan José Ferraro's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Juan José Ferraro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Diagur was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Zelaya in the 8th minute of play forced PGE FC's goalkeeper Alberto Diagur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan José Ferraro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Diagur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Epifanio Guillelmus kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of PGE FC booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Zelaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Epifanio Guillelmus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PGE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 31 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Juan José Ferraro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Diagur was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the game, Félix Moreno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GuateFortín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PGE FC the free kick. Félix Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Félix Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Félix Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gara Dryburgh struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PGE FC.

When GuateFortín's Félix Moreno in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PGE FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 72nd minute Miguel Ángel Reguera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Diagur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Douglas Ayala sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Diagur skillfully saved the ball. Alberto Diagur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Bonilla during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alberto Diagur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. PGE FC's Alberto Diagur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Ángel Reguera in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute Miguel Ángel Reguera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Diagur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GuateFortín were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of PGE FC for a fine match.
