But to his dismay, Generoso Ritchie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, one of CAI NEUQUEN:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the CAI NEUQUEN defense, Damian Cerilo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Lalla. The CAI NEUQUEN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Lalla should have stopped the shot. With 27 minutes on the clock, Ildefonso Gorri commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caballeritos del Baile fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Damián Martínez had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Honorato Eutropio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Serafin Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Cerilo in the 33rd minute of the match. Serafin Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Ritchie in the 36th minute of play. After 36th play minutes Generoso Ritchie shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Serafin Lalla and just under the crossbar into goal. Serafin Lalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Cerilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Generoso Ritchie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Lalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Generoso Ritchie in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a rather tough play, CAI NEUQUEN's Rene Fortun got a free kick in the 44th minute. When Agustin Ilixo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Caballeritos del Baile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustin Ilixo couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Sebastian Urko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caballeritos del Baile's goalkeeper Damián Martínez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edelmiro Chago to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Caballeritos del Baile getting a freekick after 51 minutes play.
