Without hesitation aimed to the right of Domenico Sabatino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Domenico Sabatino was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Cuma Han capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cuma Han really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Tamer Siraceddin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Zoff in the 10th minute of play. Anfilogino Chiola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Cuma Han's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domenico Sabatino was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 17th match minute, Sorci Viola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Iezzi to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hüseyin Can Timurkan got free with Domenico Sabatino in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Cuma Han shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Sabatino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damiano Montini kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Domenico Sabatino acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Münir Soysan. In the 39th minute, Damiano Montini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Chiola in the 41st minute of play forced Los Tatangelos's goalkeeper Tamer Siraceddin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, one of Los Tatangelos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Tatangelos. Tamer Siraceddin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Zoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beppe Zoff made a kick off. After 78 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Anfilogino Chiola. After 79 played minutes, Los Tatangelos's Münir Soysan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Tatangelos reached it. In the 83rd minute Anfilogino Chiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamer Siraceddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Los Tatangelos's Hüseyin Can Timurkan in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorci Viola's goalie prevented a goal. In the 88th minute Beppe Zoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamer Siraceddin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sorci Viola walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
