Pierre Fevre hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the game, Anfilogino Chiola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Apolo Larrañaga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute, Beppe Zoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorci Viola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 22 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Di Giuseppe. Rainerio Huidobro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Domenico Sabatino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Domenico Sabatino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrés Villaseñor in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damiano Iezzi during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Damiano Iezzi hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Rainerio Huidobro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rainerio Huidobro in the 33rd minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Anfilogino Chiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beppe Zoff made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Anfilogino Chiola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorci Viola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anfilogino Chiola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apolo Larrañaga was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beppe Zoff showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Rainerio Huidobro struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Domenico Sabatino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talcampeón FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Andrés Villaseñor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talcampeón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrés Villaseñor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domenico Sabatino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damiano Iezzi hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's Rainerio Huidobro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domenico Sabatino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Beppe Zoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Apolo Larrañaga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anfilogino Chiola went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Beppe Zoff's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Apolo Larrañaga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Anfilogino Chiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded Sorci Viola left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Talcampeón FC.
