The corner ended in Orhan Ortanca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SAN LORENZO FC's John Locke did a great save. After 6 minutes, Magno Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buffalo Timişoara and the SAN LORENZO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Magno Dantas. Hunor Csapó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Heredia, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, one of SAN LORENZO FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. John Locke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Benitez in the 18th minute of the match. SAN LORENZO FC's John Locke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save SAN LORENZO FC from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wawrzyniec Pysz came free, but John Locke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Benitez in the 26th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper John Locke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Marchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Orhan Ortanca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buffalo Timişoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Orhan Ortanca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Locke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Victor Heredia made the kick off in the second half. Vali Voicescu charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vali Voicescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd minute, Vali Voicescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Locke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Locke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franky Ooms's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Voicescu in the 59th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper John Locke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
