The audience thought a goal was coming when Edi Cavani got free with Dionisio Matia in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Hustaz's late challenge caught a Defensores de Lombroso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Hustaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Tello AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Hustaz to maneuver through the defense. Natal Quintanilla in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dionisio Matia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 37th match minute, Defensores de Lombroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quique Hrabina to maneuver through the defense. Dionisio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natal Quintanilla in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Balendin in the 66th minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Tadeo Laurgain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tello AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Pascual Gonsalvo hit a great ball. 75 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Defensores de Lombroso's Edi Cavani fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Tello AFC's Dionisio Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natal Quintanilla in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Justino Kismi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 minutes, Natal Quintanilla made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side.
