Felix Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Ariando in the 5th minute of play. Ladislao Stephen hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Nina fc's Lucio Hernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Nina fc from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Nina fc's Lucio Hernandez got control of the ball when Dorel Codin tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Codin in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Hernandez saved Nina fc from getting behind. A hard shot 25 in the game by Mircea Creangă from a close distance when the talented Lucio Hernandez managed to make a qualified save. Nina fc's players were relieved. Eusebio Bertin, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Frederik in the 35th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Felix Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Jusepe kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Lucio Hernandez was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Dorel Codin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dorel Codin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Horaţiu Corduneanu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Melquiades Jusepe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nina fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Jusepe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Ghee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Nina fc's Ruben Felipo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ruben Felipo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nina fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ruben Felipo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Nina fc:s Lucio Hernandez showed great skill when he stopped Manuel Aluncai:s penalty. Dorel Codin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute of the match, Primitivo Lapurdi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felix Ghee was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 79 minutes, Primitivo Lapurdi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nina fc and the Stiinta-Univ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Primitivo Lapurdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Codin in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucio Hernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dorel Codin kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Lucio Hernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Creangă, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Stiinta-Univ.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
