The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. KOO Tigers's attentive John Lim managed to snatch the ball when Durvalino Albuquerque made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. 10 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Hilmi Onursan came free, but Davi Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by October 04's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hilmi Onursan was slow to take the kick. During this time KOO Tigers's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Abdulkerim Uğuş managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Horácio Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Désiré Kaká was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. If Lv Lei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. October 04's Davi Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lv Lei in the 20th minute of play. Davi Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Lei in the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Lv Lei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Davi Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. KOO Tigers's Désiré Kaká played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Aguiar in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Lei in the 32nd minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Davi Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davi Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lv Lei went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Fabinho Falcão hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilmi Onursan in the 37th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Davi Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Lv Lei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half KOO Tigers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lv Lei was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lv Lei got free with Davi Couto in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ruy Lira made in the 54th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Horácio Aguiar. Davi Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lv Lei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruy Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruy Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Davi Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lv Lei in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Lei in the 64th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Davi Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's Lv Lei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Davi Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to KOO Tigers getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Meriç Baytekin hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Lv Lei notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of October 04's Davi Couto. Davi Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, Lv Lei reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Davi Couto. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 83rd minute, Lv Lei made a precise shot to the right of Davi Couto. October 04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Davi Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Lei in the 88th minute of the match. Désiré Kaká made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Aguiar in the 90th minute of play. October 04's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Lv Lei scored to the left of an out of position Davi Couto, making the score, 0-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. KOO Tigers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
