Köping's Jens Bohlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Maldini in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Köping getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Benedict Moreau hit a great ball. Michael-Peter Koenig might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens Bohlin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael-Peter Koenig ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Köping booed when A.S. Udinese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Che didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Köping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedict Moreau to maneuver through the defense. Jens Bohlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Maldini in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Ferruccio Negrini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jens Bohlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Dossena, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Emilio Dossena made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Junior Maldini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Köping's Jens Bohlin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Köping from getting a goal against them. Jens Bohlin made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Junior Maldini sent off a good shot on target. Emiliano Scannella kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. A.S. Silvio Che charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Ernesto Delle Donne took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Jens Bohlin to make any attempt to save it. Udinese's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
