The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goalkeeper Fernandão Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto-Carlos Braga. 4 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Txilar came free, but Fernandão Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute Felix Txilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Jukatriz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes, Wilson Gaspar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jukatriz and the FC Anderlecht Huachipato players grew even worse after the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vitaliy Fedchenko to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Vitaliy Fedchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Haroldo Arce fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jukatriz's protests and gave Haroldo Arce a yellow card for diving instead. Serbülent Baysan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amadeu Arruda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 69 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jukatriz's Dorian Freitas got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 78 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Vitaliy Fedchenko came free, but Fernandão Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Felix Txilar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernandão Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
