After some careless play in the SV Bad Harzburg defense, Karl-Michael Brask kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim Wiese. The SV Bad Harzburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim Wiese should have stopped the shot. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Richter came free, but Igor Kelemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Karl-Michael Brask had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute Karl-Michael Brask shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SV Bad Harzburg getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Lars Schira hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Rareș Hănescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tim Wiese showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, Karl-Michael Brask left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 26th minute Karl-Michael Brask shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Michael Brask might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tim Wiese. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With his leg Tim Wiese managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jörg Mackert hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Brask in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl-Michael Brask kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tim Wiese. That made the score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. In the 78thth minute of the game Karl-Michael Brask who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jörg Mackert fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Bad Harzburg's protests and gave Jörg Mackert a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SV Bad Harzburg getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Tim Wiese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. 93 minutes into the game, Ion Silvestru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Bad Harzburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batalionul U23 Dorobanti the free kick. In the 93rd minute, Ion Silvestru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Batalionul U23 Dorobanti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SV Bad Harzburg throughout the match.
