In the 4th minute, Payton Matthews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Catstown's zone, Hulusi Ragıp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bardan McMichel came out of the goal and Hulusi Ragıp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Briain Morrison in the 8th minute of play forced Derinkuyu's goalkeeper Olcay Orkun Dündaroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes of play, Derinkuyu's Kurtuluş Oğurata made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bardan McMichel was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute, Catstown's Briain Morrison ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olcay Orkun Dündaroğlu. Olcay Orkun Dündaroğlu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Duran Uraz fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derinkuyu's protests and gave Duran Uraz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Derinkuyu getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Duran Uraz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Derinkuyu's zone, Henry McBrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olcay Orkun Dündaroğlu came out of the goal and Henry McBrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olcay Orkun Dündaroğlu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Catstown's Dane Matthews got a free kick in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Duran Uraz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bardan McMichel. Catstown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duran Uraz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 33rd minute Briain Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olcay Orkun Dündaroğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Catstown's Fionntán McPhilip nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 56th minute, Kayacan Sarıcabay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 62 minutes, Barney Doyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catstown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barney Doyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Derinkuyu's Duran Uraz got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Henry McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes of play Derinkuyu's Duran Uraz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Duran Uraz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match.
