Yağızalp Coşan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barney Doyle in the 10th minute of play. After some careless play in the ANKA defense, Henry McBrand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yağızalp Coşan. The ANKA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yağızalp Coşan should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Catstown's Bardan McMichel got control of the ball when Binali Adılhan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Dane Matthews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match, Aziz Açıker tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bardan McMichel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Briain Morrison scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yağızalp Coşan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Aziz Açıker put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bardan McMichel. Bardan McMichel made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Binali Adılhan sent off a good shot on target. Henry McBrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, ANKA's goal looked a bit too open when Dane Matthews came free, but Yağızalp Coşan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yağızalp Coşan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henry McBrand went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Briain Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yağızalp Coşan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes ANKA got a freekick which was hit by Davut Zabit. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Davut Zabit left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ANKA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 57 minutes into the match, Catstown's goal looked a bit too open when Binali Adılhan came free, but Bardan McMichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Aziz Açıker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bardan McMichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes, Fionntán McPhilip made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. ANKA's Yağızalp Coşan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to ANKA getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ali Numan Tanak hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, one of ANKA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bardan McMichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Açıker in the 78th minute of the match. Henry McBrand was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Catstown's Bardan McMichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Açıker in the 86th minute of play. A hard shot by Dane Matthews from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Yağızalp Coşan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Catstown's Barney Doyle got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dane Matthews's late challenge caught a ANKA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dane Matthews helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Catstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Matthews to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Catstown walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
