In the 8th match minute, Club 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Robescu to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Leonardo Spinazzola tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liu Chao Xiao in the 11th minute of play forced Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Dino Di Luca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dino Di Luca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liu Chao Xiao's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Foot Ball Club di Roma defense, Liu Chao Xiao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dino Di Luca. The Foot Ball Club di Roma fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dino Di Luca should have stopped the shot. Liu Chao Xiao might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Di Luca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liu Chao Xiao ran back to his position shaking his head. Club 23's Ferdinand Voicu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fedele Cimino, made in the 37th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Fedele Cimino in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club 23's Leonard Chodzinski. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Biagio Pallini made the kick off in the second half. Club 23's Sören Malmberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Club 23 from getting a goal against them. Ferdinand Voicu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, one of Club 23:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club 23. The referee gave Foot Ball Club di Roma a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Biagio Pallini, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club 23's Sören Malmberg. 1-1. Dino Di Luca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Bogdanović, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 78 minutes of play, Club 23's Liu Chao Xiao made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Di Luca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dino Di Luca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liu Chao Xiao in the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liu Chao Xiao in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dino Di Luca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Volodya Kirov came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Club 23 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Volodya Kirov couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, Foot Ball Club di Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Bogdanović came free, but Dino Di Luca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eros Tancoš kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. In the 98th minute of the match Dacian Săraru sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dino Di Luca skillfully saved the ball.
