If Çeliker Vecih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Foot Ball Club di Roma got a freekick which was hit by Christian Marsili. Dino Di Luca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semi Türkoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Karaelmas were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Foot Ball Club di Roma's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Çağan Mürsel took the corner. Hakan Ilıca made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Biagio Pallini sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Marsili in the 19th minute of play forced Karaelmas's goalkeeper Hakan Ilıca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hakan Ilıca was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Christian Marsili capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Marsili really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 23rd minute, Karaelmas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Biagio Pallini fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hakan Ilıca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ettore Scarcella, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Dino Di Luca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çeliker Vecih in the 33rd minute of the match. Christian Marsili kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Biagio Pallini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Hakan Ilıca made a huge save. Hakan Ilıca stood somewhat misplaced when Biagio Pallini came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 47 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Çeliker Vecih stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Çeliker Vecih who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Dino Di Luca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Karaelmas's Hakan Ilıca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Marsili in the 57th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Bruno Crispino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Di Luca made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Çeliker Vecih sent off a good shot on target. Dino Di Luca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semi Türkoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Semi Türkoğlu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dino Di Luca. Semi Türkoğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Biagio Pallini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Foot Ball Club di Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Biagio Pallini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hakan Ilıca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hakan Ilıca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Scarcella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Foot Ball Club di Roma's Christian Marsili in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
