Erwin Jury showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Foot Ball Club di Roma's Dino Di Luca got control of the ball when Davy Poirrier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dino Di Luca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davy Poirrier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. Davy Poirrier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Dino Di Luca made a huge save. Biagio Pallini kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Pallini in the 46th minute of play forced Saint Côme de Fresné's goalkeeper Gameiro Lenoble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 56th minute, Davy Poirrier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saint Côme de Fresné fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saint Côme de Fresné fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Dino Di Luca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davy Poirrier in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Saint Côme de Fresné booed when Foot Ball Club di Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Cimino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davy Poirrier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Di Luca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Davy Poirrier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gameiro Lenoble was a little too slow when Christian Marsili got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Biagio Pallini got free with Gameiro Lenoble in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
