The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Franco Costanzo made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Lukas Apelkvist sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes into the match, Haymakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Naldo came free, but Robin Olsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Costanzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lukas Apelkvist's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Reynaldo Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Olsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11thth minute of the game Reynaldo Rolado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Rolado in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Olsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robin Olsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lukas Apelkvist got free with Franco Costanzo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Rosendo Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Olsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rosendo Naldo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Olsen saved Haymakers FC from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Reynaldo Rolado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of El Golden Volvió! booed when Haymakers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Mogren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lukas Apelkvist fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haymakers FC's protests and gave Lukas Apelkvist a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of El Golden Volvió! booed when Haymakers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Apelkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viking Lo Russo in the 34th minute of play. Robin Olsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Naldo in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Haymakers FC got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Apelkvist. Robin Olsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viking Lo Russo in the 38th minute of the match. Claudio Biaggio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Olsen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Biaggio in the 46th minute of play forced Haymakers FC's goalkeeper Robin Olsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Biaggio was the one to do the kick off. Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Biaggio in the 55th minute of play. Robin Olsen made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Viking Lo Russo sent off a good shot on target. When El Golden Volvió!'s Rosendo Naldo in 70 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Robin Olsen guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Robin Olsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Rolado in the 75th minute of play.
