In the 13th minute of the match A.K.Sh Albania got a corner. MK Investments's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alesandro Nesta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led A.K.Sh Albania's Mandi Oca to fire away a dangerous shot which Peter Oldenborger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, A.K.Sh Albania's goal looked a bit too open when Domenik Hoffhuis came free, but Gjon Dhami reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes MK Investments got a freekick which was hit by Jimmie Cai. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waclaw Poremba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waclaw Poremba got free with Gjon Dhami in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
