Hakan Ilıca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacco van Dartel, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Karaelmas's goal looked a bit too open when Domenik Hoffhuis came free, but Hakan Ilıca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Oldenborger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semi Türkoğlu in the 16th minute of play. Peter Oldenborger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çeliker Vecih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hakan Ilıca was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Plaski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, MK Investments's goal looked a bit too open when Çeliker Vecih came free, but Peter Oldenborger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Oldenborger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semi Türkoğlu in the 30th minute of play. Karaelmas's Hakan Ilıca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacco van Dartel in the 33rd minute of play. Çağan Mürsel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Oldenborger having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waclaw Poremba got free with Hakan Ilıca in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hakan Ilıca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waclaw Poremba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacco van Dartel in the 43rd minute of play forced Karaelmas's goalkeeper Hakan Ilıca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The MK Investments fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when MK Investments's Waclaw Poremba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Çeliker Vecih made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Jacco van Dartel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Hakan Ilıca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to MK Investments getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Domenik Hoffhuis hit a great ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind MK Investments's goalkeeper Peter Oldenborger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Poremba in the 65th minute of play forced Karaelmas's goalkeeper Hakan Ilıca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Çeliker Vecih's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Peter Oldenborger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Domenik Hoffhuis struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Hakan Ilıca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MK Investments. 76 minutes into the match, MK Investments's goal looked a bit too open when Semi Türkoğlu came free, but Peter Oldenborger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hakan Ilıca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waclaw Poremba's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Waclaw Poremba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaelmas's Hakan Ilıca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgar Plaski scored 4-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hakan Ilıca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Waclaw Poremba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakan Ilıca was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a rather tough play, MK Investments's Gert Cales got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd match minute, MK Investments was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Plaski to maneuver through the defense.
