An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Biaggio in the 29th minute of play forced Foot Ball Club di Roma's goalkeeper Dino Di Luca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play, El Golden Volvió!'s Viking Lo Russo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Di Luca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dino Di Luca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Naldo in the 35th minute of play. Dino Di Luca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Fernandinho Redondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Eros Tancoš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Costanzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Biaggio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Viking Lo Russo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Rolado charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Rolado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franco Costanzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Pallini in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute Rosendo Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Di Luca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, El Golden Volvió!'s Franco Costanzo got control of the ball when Biagio Pallini tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, El Golden Volvió!'s Rosendo Naldo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Di Luca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Viking Lo Russo, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ettore Scarcella hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes, Eros Tancoš mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foot Ball Club di Roma and the El Golden Volvió! players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eros Tancoš kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. El Golden Volvió!'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Eros Tancoš scored to the left of an out of position Franco Costanzo, making the score, 2-1. Dino Di Luca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, El Golden Volvió!'s Jesús Blanco got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute of the match, Biagio Pallini got a very nice opportunity to score, but Franco Costanzo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Franco Costanzo had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Biagio Pallini's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 94th minute, Eros Tancoš fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Franco Costanzo, passed just outside the right post. Dino Di Luca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Naldo in the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Rosendo Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Di Luca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 98 played minutes Foot Ball Club di Roma got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Crispino. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Golden Volvió! fans cheered their team off the field, for while Foot Ball Club di Roma had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
