With a little luck, El Golden Volvió!'s Franco Costanzo got control of the ball when Leonel Sanches tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franco Costanzo came out of the goal and Marcel Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franco Costanzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Souza in the 44th minute. Victoriano Ladio lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, El Golden Volvió!'s Victoriano Ladio got a free kick in the 48th minute. After a defensive mix-up in El Golden Volvió!'s zone, Marcel Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Costanzo came out of the goal and Marcel Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Vimaro to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, El Golden Volvió!'s goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Vimaro came free, but Franco Costanzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosendo Naldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Diamantino Senna made a huge save. In the 79th minute El Golden Volvió! were awarded a corner. Viking Lo Russo went to the cornerflag to take it. Dedê Freire hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 96 played minutes El Golden Volvió! got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Rolado. Franco Costanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Golden Volvió! were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Futbol Club RRFV's much stronger midfield.
