After 4 played minutes Bafra got a freekick which was hit by Genco Akkurt. 13 minutes into the game, one of Bafra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Yakakent FK. Şeref Abide stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tunç Sahat. 0-1. Eyüp Tümenbay hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Şahin Acunalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tunç Sahat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şeref Abide kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Bafra's Hamit Ayçetin got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamit Ayçetin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Orhan Saltar made a huge save. 32 minutes into the match, Yakakent FK's goal looked a bit too open when Basri Cezlan came free, but Orhan Saltar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Yakakent FK's Serhan Toköz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Atacan Usum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Bafra booed when Yakakent FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şeref Abide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eyüp Tümenbay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Basri Cezlan took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orhan Saltar. Orhan Saltar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 58 minutes, Atacan Usum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yakakent FK and the Bafra players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bafra booed when Yakakent FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atacan Usum didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Hamit Ayçetin sped through Yakakent FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Orhan Saltar. If Semi Yertan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tunç Sahat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semi Yertan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basri Cezlan hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Orhan Saltar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basri Cezlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 94th minute of the match Arda Baybars Uma shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tunç Sahat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Bafra's Lefter Kadri seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lefter Kadri the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bafra protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lefter Kadri had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 94th minute, one of Bafra:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bafra. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Yakakent FK's Şeref Abide got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tunç Sahat. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bafra fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yakakent FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
