Rambo Ramírez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 9th minute of the match. Honorio Droguett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Celso Trevisan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubén Martínez. In the 22nd minute of the match Dr Lecter SC got a corner. Colo-Colo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Romero ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Dr Lecter SC's corner Mauro Romero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rambo Ramírez quite easily take care of the ball. Celso Trevisan was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Rubén Martínez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rubén Martínez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Colo-Colo's Rambo Ramírez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omid Kaulbach in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Colo-Colo's Rubén Martínez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celso Trevisan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Rambo Ramírez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 39th minute of play. Dr Lecter SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Rubén Martínez scored to the left of an out of position Celso Trevisan, making the score, 3-0. Celso Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén Martínez in the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Martínez came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Celso Trevisan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rubén Martínez's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Colo-Colo's Rubén Martínez got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lalo Vilchez hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Rubén Martínez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colo-Colo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubén Martínez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dr Lecter SC's Fedele Di Fabrizio was substituted for Lauro Antunes. Rambo Ramírez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fedele Di Fabrizio in the 75th minute. With a little luck, Colo-Colo's Rambo Ramírez got control of the ball when Fedele Di Fabrizio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dr Lecter SC's Domingos Da Guía got a free kick in the 81st minute.
